Antonio Harris, Club Director - antonioh@bgcm.org
Antonio Harris was born and raised in Memphis. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, where he excelled not only in the classroom, but on the basketball court. He achieved All City while matriculating througy Booker T. Washington. After high school, Antonio accepted a scholarship to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He returned to Memphis to complete his education at Lemoyne-Owen College. Antonio still holds the distinction and record for the most three pointers in one gaem that stands at 14. While attending college he worked as a staff member at the Goodwill Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs. After college be became a professional staff member at the Downtown Porter Branch as a Program Director. He currently serves as a Club Director at the Goodwill Branch.
Michelle Simmons, Program Director - msimmons@bgcm.org
Michele Simmons is currently the Program Director for Goodwill Boys & Girls Club. She is a native of Memphis, TN, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She considers New Orleans, LA her second home where she completed her undergraduate & some graduate studies, at the University of New Orleans in Political Science & Sociology. Michele was also a student athlete, playing Division I basketball and ran track. She has been affiliated with Boys & Girls Clubs since it first became available for girls as a member of the very same club she works for now, Goodwill. She began her career as a junior staff for the club, and returned to Memphis while in college to work summers as a staff. She was also a Unit Coordinator with the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana for a unit which targeted youth displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita before moving back to Memphis. Michele enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing sports, coaching, traveling, & working with children.
