While many Club alumni have achieved particular distinction in fields such as entertainment, politics and sports, most are not famous. The majority are everyday people who have achieved success by doing things such as getting a degree, raising a family, serving their country, pursuing a career or supporting the community.

2012 Alumnus of the Year - Montreze Threlkeld
Montreze Threlkeld was born on April 27, 1976. He became a member of Goodwill Boys & Girls Club (then Boys Club) in 1985. He remained a member of Goodwill throughout his youth and attended Overton High School, graduating in 1995. Montreze attended the State Technical Institute at Memphis for 2 years. In 1997, he entrepreneurially began the cleaning service, Citywide Mobile Washing, specializing in mobile auto detailing. Later he expanded the business to include janitorial services. Citywide has been the Chief Detailer and Porter for the Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville Auto Shows since 2003.
A true renaissance man, in addition to managing Citywide Mobile Washing and serving as a shift manager for FFC Aviation Fuel System since 2006, Montreze is also a President’s List student of Culinary Arts at L’Ecole Culinaire. He plans to graduate this Fall. As if that wasn’t enough to take on, Montreze approached Joe in early 2011 and requested to volunteer in our culinary program. Since then he has managed to juggle his busy work schedule while attending Culinary school and providing instructional time in the culinary lab.
Montreze has been married to Kimetra since 1997. They have two sons, Courtney (12) and Camron (10).
Montreze plans to open his food truck, Mr. Frazier’s Fish Box, in honor of his Grandfather who inspired him to cook, in the spring of 2012.
